Go Fly Kite.com Pte Ltd, established in spring 1998 aims to provide a unique RC kite flying experience for all RC kite flyers. Taking to heart of all our flyers' needs, comments, complaints and compliments, we strive for continuous improvement in our products and services. On top of that, we hope to bring the best possible shopping experience at our store to all flyers around the world.

Our Innovations

What we have created is one of a kind and every of our RC kites are built to address the problems traditional RC flying models faced. All of our RC kites are designed to be:

Our History

Michael Lim, founder of Go Fly Kite, barely passed his Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) started his career as a jeweler at the age of 20. He has more than 20 years of jewelry design and sales experience. At leisure, he enjoyed flying remote control planes and helicopters. Soon later, he realised that his interest lied in flying more than anything else. Hence, he decided to switch his business combining his hobby with his profession.

Flying remote control planes and helicopters were never easy and involved high maintenance cost. It was also a kind of hobby that did not require group activity, which is why he sees the need in creating a hobby that can be enjoyed in numbers, easy to learn and of low maintenance cost.
At the beginning, Research & Development (R&D) was the biggest challenge as he did not have any reference from any existing aero modeling design but after many times of experiment, the first kite was successfully launched in 2000. The Company was then established in 2001 and was privatised on August 2006.

With this innovation, everyone’s dream of flying has come true.

Uniquely Singapore GFK kites have been recognised by The Singapore Tourism Board as a “Uniquely Singapore” product. GFK’s controlled kites have made history by introducing a flying experience like never before. With this “Uniquely Singapore” product, we hope to make GFK a popular tourist spot where our Night Flyers beautify the skyline and create a healthy and exciting nightlife in Singapore. It is our hope that this professional community RC Kiting sport will bring enjoyment and light to everyone around the world.
Spirit of Enterprise Awards 2007 Michael, founder of Go Fly Kite was awarded as one of the 42 Award Recipients of the Spirit of Enterprise Awards 2007. He was honoured at the Pan Pacific Singapore Ballroom Gala Dinner on 26 September 2007. The Honorees were selected by the SOE Board of Governors with the assistance from the general public who voted for the most inspiring entrepreneurs online from a list of 156 nominees. Gracing the Awards Ceremony is Guest of Honour, Mrs. Yu-Foo Yee Shoon, Minister of State for Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports.

Our Flyer's Ranking System
Classic Experience basic training through the flight simulator before embarking on basic flying involving simple turns.
Bronze Up your skill with loops and rolls and learn the art of inverted flying.
Silver Demonstrate your flying skills with continuous rolls while mastering more advanced styles of inverted flying. Be an air dancer once you are good enough.
Gold Master the art of hovering your GFK RC kite™ and move on to drills for challenging flight obstacles involving pylon flying.
Platinum Attain the master level of flying through more complex flight obstacles, touch-and-go and hovering flying styles. Pass this level and you are on your way to being a GFK instructor!
